A marketplace for the fintech industry has been added to Endeavor Miami’s growing portfolio of Endeavor Entrepreneurs. Endeavor Miami announced today that Finconecta is now the 22nd active Endeavor Miami company, after being selected at Endeavor Global’s 80th International Selection Panel (ISP), held in Milan, Italy from June 27-29th. The company was founded in 2016 by Jorge Ruiz and Mauricio Lorenzetti.

Finconecta is a global enterprise software company that connects and matches financial institutions and fintechs from all over the world by integrating these players into one single platform called 4wrd. The company currently drives digital transformation programs in Latin America, Africa and Asia.

“We’re excited to welcome Jorge and Mauricio to the Endeavor Miami scale-up family and look forward to offering them a suite of services that can help them accelerate their growth,” said Laura Maydón, Managing Director of Endeavor Miami. “The fintech ecosystem has great growth potential in Miami, and we are happy to include Finconecta as the second fintech company in our portfolio. Their selection showcases the strength of our entrepreneurial community.”

Finconecta is headquartered in Miami and will begin receiving services to further accelerate their scale, including mentorship and access to capital, global markets and talent. “Being part of Endeavor’s global entrepreneurial community will greatly contribute to our company’s growth, particularly as we seek to expand in new markets,” said Jorge Ruiz, co-founder and CEO of Finconecta. “Joining Endeavor is certain to be a driver to achieve our goals faster.”

Endeavor’s ISP is the culmination of a rigorous selection process where panels composed of top global business leaders, entrepreneurs and investors interview candidates about their business traction, leadership potential and timing to further scale. In order for an entrepreneur to be selected, they must receive a unanimous vote from the entire panel. Each panel consisted of sets of six world-class business leaders, who interviewed Ruiz and Lorenzetti, giving them targeted and thorough feedback. South Florida was well represented at the event with Endeavor Miami Board member Ernest Bachrach present and part of the panels who interviewed candidates to select this class of Endeavor Entrepreneurs.

Endeavor Miami launched in September 2013 with the support of the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation as the first U.S. affiliate of Endeavor Global. Endeavor Miami’s entrepreneurs generated more than $130 million in revenues and 1,600 jobs in South Florida in 2017. With the addition of its newest companies, the affiliate currently supports 22 companies and 39 entrepreneurs.
