Our story

The Cambridge Innovation Center opened in Cambridge, MA in 1999, and CIC Miami opened its doors in October 2016. With a vision to bridge one of the nation's largest health districts with the rest of Miami's thriving innovation corridor, we combine coworking, flexible offices, and laboratory spaces layered with robust programming, advising, and community-building initiatives.

Believing Miami can grow to become the connecting point of the Americas, we have set out to build a collaborative, inclusive, and value-adding center of gravity with a strong focus on what it will take to make Miami a true regional hub for entrepreneurship, innovation, and economic development.

“I can’t think of any greater gift than to receive words of support from a group of people that each and everyday exhibits such entrepreneurial ambition, such community spirit, and frankly so much sincere love for their jobs and patrons. We would not be able to make this next step without the growth that came from team CIC. Thank you for making us feel like hip innovation nerds even though we are a bunch of logistics geeks. Thanks for the facelift on a 50 year old business. CIC will always be home for us, and we know there is no other coworking community like it.”
— Jen Robertson, Robertson Forwarding Company
“We are very grateful to the service that we were offered at CIC, it was not only the best place to start the company, but it’s also excellent in all aspects and we want to congratulate you for the beautiful space.”
