What is Resilient Coders?
Resilient Coders is a Boston-based non profit spreading code literacy to young people from traditionally underserved communities. We aim to diversify the tech sector, training and placing talent into entry level tech jobs and internships.
What is a Hackathon?
This is an opportunity for you to assess your interest in coding, and explore whether Resilient Coders' 14-week Bootcamp is for you. During this one-day program you'll learn some HTML basics and explore how tech can be used to create change in your community. A select number of participants will be invited to apply to the Bootcamp (the next one is September through December). What comes after Bootcamp? You might work for Resilient Lab, developing websites for real clients, or get an internship with a with the long term goal of placing participants in a high-paid job as a web developer. We are targeting people ages 18 to 26, with a high school diploma or its equivalency. No prior technical experience necessary.
The next Hackathon is on Monday, August 14th from 10 to 5 at 50 Milk St., 5th Floor. And the last one will be on Saturday, August 19th from 10 to 5 at the Roxbury Innovation Center, which is at 2300 Washington St in Roxbury. Sign up here to register.
