Join us for Food For Thought on Impact evaluation: Better than What? A conversation on the practical side of impact evaluationas part of ImpactFest, Impact Hub's week of social impact.
Everyone wants to make an impact, and so do the people that give to your nonprofit. But what do we really mean when we say that a nonprofit has impact? This conversation focuses on a simple set of common-sense concepts that you can use to sharpen your annual report and to plan impact evaluations. These concepts go straight to the heart of Ben Mazzotta's work at ImpactMatters.
Food For Thoughts are casual brown bag lunch discussions around a particular social impact topic.
About the Speaker:
Ben Mazzotta works as the Research Director at ImpactMatters in making sure we measure impact correctly for every nonprofit that undertakes an impact audit. The impact audit assesses a nonprofit’s impact, calculates its cost-effectiveness, and rates the quality of its evidence. Before joining ImpactMatters, Ben conducted impact evaluations of USAID projects, mostly in West Africa. As a postdoc, he managed a research program for the Institute for Business in the Global Context (IBGC) at Tufts University.
