Engineers and designers have incredible tools available for creating AI-powered applications, but how do you determine the right level of “intelligence” to apply to a problem? How much customization is needed? It’s tempting to go overboard! In this talk, you’ll learn strategies to help you go from a design sprint to building working interfaces.

Real-world examples will be drawn from a case study of designing and building a voice assistant for biological research laboratories. Currently, it can take decades for lifesaving drugs to come to market, and possible cures often slip by unnoticed because they are lost in mountains of data.
