Digital Security is not just a technical issue; it's a business issue

  • CIC Cambridge, Mosaic, 3rd floor 245 Main Street Cambridge, MA, 02142 United States (map)

Learn about critical risks and opportunities in digital security for any product through real-world examples.

About this Event

From wearables to factories, virtually no part of our world remains untouched by digital systems. Our new digital environment brings fabulous opportunities but also unprecedented risks, and questions of how to protect our critical data, infrastructure, and property.

Companies are spending on security policies, architectures, systems and teams that they didn’t need ten years ago.  Evidence suggests that this trend will only accelerate, that the investments will only increase.  What the evidence doesn’t suggest is how much investment is enough investment.  Given the sums that will be involved, decision makers need clear strategies that link technical security objectives to business value; strategies that help inform where to start, how to balance security with other needs, and crucially where to draw the line.

In this session, digital security experts from Cambridge Consultants will use real-world examples from the industrial, automotive, and consumer healthcare sectors to explore the link between the technical and business worlds and explain some key considerations for an effective digital security strategy. Light refreshments will be provided.
