DEAR CIC MIAMI COMMUNITY,

The building management has informed us that a visitor in the building has tested positive for COVID-19. The individual was in the building on March 21 and March 23, for four hours each day, between 5 a.m. and 9 a.m. This person only visited the first floor and the fifth floor.

Last night, the building management executed the CDC-recommended Tier 3 cleaning in all of those spaces, as well as the elevator bank and elevators. With an abundance of caution, CIC will also do a Tier 3 cleaning of all common areas on our third and sixth floors, as well as the (new) mailroom in Everglades on the first floor. This cleaning will be starting this afternoon and finish tonight. This will not affect building operations.

As a reminder, here are some of our previous communications on where CIC Miami stands at the moment:

Closed for Normal Business (3/19/2020)

CIC Miami Limited Operations Mode Updates on Mail, Programming, and Parking (3/19/2020)

CIC Miami Entering Limited Operations Mode (3/16/2020)

We remain committed to adapting best practices to keep our community safe and healthy, and will actively update you as the situation continues to evolve.

Separately, be on the lookout for helpful newsletters we will be starting shortly to aggregate resources that could be helpful during these hectic times. As always, if you have any questions feel free to reach out to me and our COVID-19 task force at covid19@cic.com.

Thank you and stay safe (and sane),

Natalia Martinez-Kalinina
