Update regarding Massachusetts Non-Essential Business closure

DEAR CIC MASSACHUSETTS COMMUNITY MEMBERS:

As you may know, Governor Charlie Baker has ordered the closure of all non-essential businesses in the commonwealth starting at 12:00pm tomorrow, March 23, 2020.

While this is happening quickly, it was not unexpected. Many of you are doing work that is determined to be essential during this time. This includes our clients working on helping the world get through this pandemic.

With that in mind, CIC has filled out the appropriate form with the MA government to confirm our essential business status. Until we receive word from the MA government, we are going to operate as an essential business in a limited capacity and continue mail sorting and other minimal operations support during this time while we still have staff able to come in. We will keep our centers open for companies who also receive the essential designation for as long as our buildings remain open.

If we are deemed unessential, we will still be able to continue to receive and retain mail and packages at our locations, which you will have access to.

As the situation continues to unfold, please look for our emails and visit the COVID section of our website for additional information and answers to frequently asked questions. You are always welcome to reach out to me and our COVID response team (covid@cic.com) with any questions.

Sincerely,

Mark Moreau
