In light of this past week's FCC vote to end Net Neutrality, CIC would like to affirm our own commitment to Net Neutrality. We do not and will not block, limit, or filter the use of particular websites or services on the internet connection that we provide to our clients.

Two small but mighty CIC crews, the Planeteers and the Kitchens Team, are jointly leading a grassroots effort to institutionalize the 3 “R’s” – Reduce, Reuse, & Recycle – within CIC’s day-to-day operations. Below you will find a quick reference guide on some of the current initiatives.

These events are inarguably the preeminent networking gathering in the area. As a matter of fact, several hundred people attend each week.We’re going to highlight one of Venture Café Kendall’s rarer events, Mini-Conferences.

Daniel Faggella started one of his many ventures, Science of Skill, many years ago in C3 at CIC Cambridge, and was profiled in Forbes Magazine this past month for having successfully grown and sold that business. We sat down to ask him about what he’s been up to and to share a bit about his early days with CIC.
Beginning with the 2016 tax year, eligible small businesses and their owners can claim the R&D credit against their alternative minimum tax liability. Eligible small businesses include partnerships, sole proprietorships, and privately held corporations whose average, annual receipts for the 3-year tax-period preceding the tax year claiming the credit do not exceed $50 million. With so much energy and potential buzzing through the halls, it’s no wonder a group of “CICers” were inspired to tackle the blank canvas of those walkways.
The City of Newton, MassChallenge, and CIC have partnered to open Newton Innovation Center, a startup-friendly collaborative workspace. NIC is a resource open to local entrepreneurs of all backgrounds to make an impact locally and globally, with programming aimed towards giving young people access to the innovation economy. It is open to CIC clients and MassChallenge 2015 alums.
