The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and CIC‘s Japan Desk are excited to announce “Japan Innovation Night,” a groundbreaking event showcasing the latest advancements in biotechnology from Japanese startups.
This exclusive gathering will take place on Thursday, June 8, 2023, from 4pm to 8pm in Venture Café at CIC Cambridge. U.S. venture capital firms and pharmaceutical companies, particularly those based in Boston, will come together to explore potential partnerships and synergies with innovative Japanese biotech firms.
For the first time in Boston, representing the government of Japan, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan (METI) will explain its initiatives investing about $3B to nurture the biotech ecosystem in Japan and further collaborations with the U.S.
On JETRO’s 20th anniversary organizing the Japan Pavilion at the 2023 BIO International Convention, JETRO is pleased to bring the exhibitors from the convention to “Japan Innovation Night” to pitch to potential investors and business partners. Each startup will present their innovations and partnering strategies in a concise 2-minute format. The evening will also feature presentations by representatives from Japan’s local ecosystems, including the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, Kobe City, and Yokohama City. The event will conclude with a networking session, allowing attendees to connect with the presenters and explore future partnerships.
The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) is a Japanese government-affiliated agency that supports Japanese businesses expanding globally and international businesses entering Japan.
