CIC lab spaces are turnkey, permitted wet labs available by the bench or by the suite, with equipment, services, and safety infrastructure bundled into your membership. There’s no facility to build out and no separate vendors to manage. You focus on the science, and we take care of the space. Both options run on flexible terms and sit inside a working innovation community.
Shared labs give you single benches with access to core equipment, shared lab-function suites, and community events — ideal for solo founders and small teams who want to get to work fast without building their own facility.
Private Lab Space
Private labs give your team dedicated space and benches — scaling from a single bench up to 35 or more as you grow — with the same equipment, services, and community access as shared labs, plus the privacy and control to run proprietary R&D.

Everything Your Lab Membership Covers
One membership covers the lab, the equipment, the services, and the safety infrastructure — bundled into a single monthly fee. You can begin research the day you move in, as soon as your lab safety training is complete.
Lab Equipment
Your lab includes move-in-ready benches and stools, chemical fume hoods and BSL-2 biosafety cabinets, eyewash stations and emergency showers, and proper acid, base, and flammable-material storage. You get access to core equipment — cold storage at 4°C, −20°C, and −80°C, CO₂ incubators, centrifuges, autoclaves, PCR and qPCR systems, plate readers, microscopes, automated cell counters, and ultrapure water, with new instruments added regularly.
On-site Support
An on-site lab operations team — staffed 9am–5pm, Monday through Friday, with holiday monitoring — handles equipment maintenance, monthly safety checks, initial lab safety training, cold-package storage, and temperature monitoring. Biohazardous waste collection, storage, and scheduled removal are included in your monthly fee, and chemical waste pickup is coordinated for you with a local vendor.

CIC offers private and shared wet lab space. Shared labs are for single-bench users, up to three benches per company; private labs scale from a small team up to 35 or more benches. Both include access to core equipment, amenities, and community events.
Yes — as long as you’ve completed your lab safety training in advance, your research can begin the day you move in. CIC lab spaces are move-in-ready and fully permitted.
Your membership includes access to core lab equipment — from pH meters, vortexers, cold storage, incubators, and fume hoods to fluorescent microscopes, automated cell counters, flow cytometry, and HPLC — plus on-site operational and tech support. Yes. CIC’s Labs and Innovation Campuses offer private office space alongside the labs, so your team gets lab and office amenities in one place. Explore flexible office space.
Flexible: 30 days’ notice for a shared bench and 90 days’ notice for a private lab. There’s no long-term lease.
CIC’s shared labs aren’t GMP certified, though individual users may choose to make their private labs GMP compliant. CIC doesn’t have clean rooms or an on-site vivarium, but the team can recommend nearby resources.
Biohazardous waste collection, storage, and scheduled removal are included in your monthly fee. Chemical waste pickup is coordinated with a local vendor; CIC covers part of the cost, with disposal billed to the client.
