Long Now Boston welcomes Robin Chase, co-founder of Zipcar and peer economy pioneer to share her perspective on the not too distant future of transportation technology, and the roadmap we need to follow to get there.
Autonomous vehicles are already here, but current policies, regulations and industry pressure stifle innovation and reward complacency. Changes to infrastructure investments, and possibly even our version of capitalism, are needed to enable more sustainable, adaptive and resilient transportation systems. What type of events might trigger a tipping point that disrupts our deep seated notion of what's normal?
Join the conversation and be part of the solution. The future, and the past, depends on you.
